About the Author

Really Helps Kids Learn Animals and New Words

My little one really enjoys this book. She is about 15 months now and is learning new words. I really like the format. Each animal/object is in it's own square instead of all mixed up on the page. This really is helping my daughter learn her new words. And she is able to associate the words with the correct items and images. She's learning a new one almost every day. Incredible!
The book is sturdy enough and colorful. The pictures are nice too but I wished book makers these days paid attention to the production and reprographics of their books. The colors of the images run dark, too saturated, and very heavy on the red ink. I used to be in advertising and I would never approved of this level of printing. That said, babies don't really notice. But that doesn't mean they don't deserve a well printed book, right?

Great picture book, but binding issues arrise with normal use

My twins love picture books, so I bought this book, My BigTruck Book, and My Big Animal Book for my boys for Chritmas. A relative also got them My Big Dinosaur Book for Christmas as well. The pages are sturdy and the pictures are real photos: beautiful and vivid. I also liked the fact that these were big board books, roughly 12 x 12 inches and the pages seemed heavyweight. However, there seems to be a flaw in how these are bound and two of them them so far have had pages and sections of pages come undone from the binding. I was able to use packing tape to tape them back in and my boys are still enjoying them six months later. However, just be aware that this happened after only a month or two of normal use....which at about $8 each might not make you very happy with your investment in these books.

Love these

We now have 3 or 4 of these word books, my son loves them. We have spent countless hours since before he was 1 looking at the pictures and learning the words. He is 18th months now and still grabs this book and wants to "do words" as we call it. There are words that he uses to identify things in real life that I think he learned from these books. I definitely would suggest for anyone looking to engage in some early vocabulary with their kids!
