A soothing addition to a bedtime routine

many of the familiar lullabies i heard when i was a child are included in this book, although some of the tunes on the included audio CD can be slightly different. my child enjoys bedtime jingles.

Not our favorite

Gave this to my daughter my granddaughter. The book is textured, that is a plus on its side. The CD , both my daughter and I found to be quite , well, let's put it this way...."non soothing" Some of the songs sung sound quite shrill. There is also a "religious" lullaby, entitled "matthew, mark, luke and john" which includes the lyrics of "bearing my soul away" which wasn't a huge hit either.
My grandson also didn't seem to take to either the cd or the book,(the colors are very muddy and bland) but did seem to enjoy the textured pages.
Wouldn't give this as a gift again.
Not a big hit.
Also there are so many lovely lullaby cd's out there, that are soothing.... this isn't one of them, in our opinion only.

A favorite

This is a favorite book & CD that I like to give for new babies. It was gifted to a grandson
and he and his brother both enjoyed it. It is nicely illustrated and the songs are great for
little folks.
